Vanguard Specialty Products is excited to highlight one of our recent projects that showcases our dedication to quality, functionality, and thoughtful design. In collaboration with Conseil des écoles fransaskoises, we had the privilege of contributing to the brand-new Nouvelle École Francophone à Regina, an elementary school built to serve the growing francophone community in the region. Our team provided custom window coverings and stage drapery tailored to meet the unique needs of this modern educational facility.
We began by installing wand-operated roller shades throughout the school, focusing on creating a balanced, productive learning environment. A combination of 3% light-filtering fabric and blackout fabric was used to offer optimal control over natural lighting. The light-filtering fabric helps reduce glare while still allowing natural daylight to brighten classrooms, enhancing focus and reducing eye strain. In contrast, the blackout fabric was chosen for specific rooms where light control is crucial—such as audio-visual spaces or multipurpose rooms that require darkened conditions for presentations or performances.
In addition to the window treatments, we supplied and installed custom stage drapery in the school's performance area. Using high-quality 22oz IFR 100% Trevira polyester fabric, the curtains deliver both durability and a professional, elegant appearance. These curtains are hand-drawn and operate on a heavy-duty pulley system, eliminating the need for electrical components while ensuring smooth and reliable functionality—ideal for school use where simplicity and low maintenance are key.
This project is a proud example of our ability to deliver specialized solutions that enhance both the functionality and atmosphere of learning spaces. We're grateful to Conseil des écoles fransaskoises for trusting Vanguard Specialty Products to play a part in shaping an inspiring environment for students and educators alike.
